In vitro study | PIK-294 inhibits different subtypes of PI3K (p110β, p110δ, and p110γ), whereas inhibition of p110α is very selective, with an IC50 of 10 μm. The M-phenol group of PIK-294 is able to penetrate the deep affinity pocket of the ATP binding site, thereby enhancing the inhibitory activity in vitro. |
